Self taught, I love the specialized tools and slow care required to make leather objects! I start by sketching each peice of a project on paper and taping it together. Then I transfer it to leather, cut, burnish edges, hand stitch, and dye. This is an ideal way to spend a night in.

Other little projects:

Childhood dream fulfilled. This 500mW red laser I built can light stuff on fire, which is awesome. Both buttons must be pressed at once to fire as a safety precaution.

This is a little cannon I made on a lathe. I made my own black powder from raw ingredients for this, and ball milled it in the backyard. The most time consuming part was making pyrotechnci grade charcoal from pine scraps.

Some wood working projects: cherry spoon and spatula, cherry shelves, and a multi wood cutting board.

A crush proof lighter I designed in CAD and made out of steel in the machine shop.

Finding the off the shelf anti-bug salt shooters underpowered, I made a steel pipe mini air cannon to fire salt at wasps and hornets.

I have taken classes and rented studio time in glass flamework, glass blowing, and stained glass.
